The Highline School District Board of Directors will hold a special meeting followed by its regular monthly meeting on Wednesday, September 17, 2025 at the district’s Central Office in Burien.
The Board Special Meeting: Audit Exit Conference will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the North Classroom and conclude at 5:00 p.m. Representatives from the Washington State Auditor’s Office will present results from the 2023-24 federal, financial statement, and accountability audits. Board members and Auditor staff may attend virtually, and the public can observe in the North Classroom.
“The State Auditor’s Office (SAO) performs Federal, Financial Statement, and Accountability audits of every large school district annually. In the spring, Highline held an exit entrance conference with SAO for the Federal and Financial Statements audits of the 2023-24 fiscal year. The Accountability audit for 2023-24 has also concluded, and at this meeting the SAO will share the results of that aspect of their annual audit.”
The Regular School Board Meeting will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Boardroom at the Central Office Building, 15675 Ambaum Blvd SW, Burien. The meeting is open to the public, and community members are encouraged to attend in person or watch via livestream at highlineschools.org/board-room-livestreams. Speakers must attend in person.
