TUESDAY August 5: Last Day to Vote in the 2025 Primary

The August 5, 2025 primary election is just around the corner, and important decisions are on the ballot for voters in Burien, SeaTac, and across the Highline School District. From city council seats to key King County positions, this election will shape the direction of our region. Each August primary race features at least three candidates. The two receiving the most votes will advance to the November 2025 general election ballot.

We’ve put together a quick preview of the races you’ll see on your ballot. Whether you live in Burien, SeaTac, or anywhere in the Highline School District, there’s something important here for you to vote on.

Take a few minutes to read up on the candidates and prepare to make your voice heard. Last Day is Tomorrow by 8 p.m.!

🗳 Make your plan to vote early! Drop boxes open across King County, and ballots must be postmarked or dropped off by 8 p.m. on Election Day.

Returning your ballot

You can vote and return your ballot as soon as you receive it. There are three ways to return your ballot, by mail, at a ballot drop box, or in-person at a vote center.

Replacing your ballot or envelope

You can request or download a replacement if you have lost or damaged your ballot or envelope.
