Abundance of Christmas Concerts This Week!

If you want to continue reveling in Christmas inspiration of the musical variety, this next week is filled with delightful local concerts, many of them with free admission. Pick a night to do a little “small town” Christmas shopping around Burien, then enjoy some local holiday sounds with your family and friends!


December 14 and 15: Choral Sounds Northwest concerts

Highline Performing Arts Center
Location: 401 S 152nd St, Burien 98148
Time: 2 pm
Tickets are $25 per person for those 18 and up. No cost for 17 and under. Tickets are  available HERE:  

From the web site: Let the power of 200 voices united in song illuminate your spirit this holiday season! ChoralSounds, SilverSounds, and TeenSounds, the choruses of Northwest Associated Arts, invite you to join them for a festive program of traditional, new, heartwarming, and fun holiday music.

December 14 and 21: Orchestra of Flight

Originally the Boeing Employee Symphony Orchestra, this group now includes performers from varied backgrounds.  They are presenting three concerts.

  • December 14 in Normandy Park at the Community Club (Cove), 7 pm
  • December 21 at the Museum of Flight in Tukwila, 11 am

There’s no charge for any of these concerts.  

December 14 and 15: Rainier Symphony (Tukwila)

  • Saturday, December 14 – 7:30 pm
  • Sunday, December 15 – 3:00 pm

Location: Foster Performing Arts Center

December 17: Kennedy High School Christmas Concert

Tuesday at 7 p.m.
No charge
Held in the Highline Performing Arts Center
401 S. 152nd, Burien

December 17: Emerald West Cellos

Winter Concert in West Seattle
Tuesday at 7:30 pm
Location: Westside Unitarian Universalist Congregation
7141 California Avenue SW, Seattle

From a concert calendar website: Come celebrate the end of the year with us! The amateur cellists of Emerald West Cello Ensemble will play a variety of classic and contemporary tunes, as well as holiday favorites. All are welcome!

December 19: St. Francis School, Advent Program

Thursday at 7 p.m.
No charge
St. Francis Church Chapel
15216 21st Ave. SW, Burien

December 21: Orchestra of Flight, as previously noted, performs at the Museum of Flight in Tukwila.

  1. A correcdtion on some dates: the Rainer Symphony concert was on Dec 14 and 15. The Cellos concert is on TUESDAY Dec 17l
