Early on Thursday, February 20, Renton Police Department Violent Crime Unit (VCU) announced on Twitter/X that they had arrested 20-year-old Alberto Nunez late on Tuesday, February 18, at a Burien residence.
According to the police, Nunez is a known gang member, considered armed and dangerous, and has made threats to kill law enforcement and their families.
They further reported that an @CrimeStopPuget tip “led officers to a home in Burien where Nunez was staying. VCU found Nunez hiding in a closet. He was arrested without incident and booked into the King County Jail on warrants for assault and illegal possession of a firearm. VCU officers located a rifle and a loaded magazine in a different closet. They are conducting testing to determine if that gun belonged to Nunez.”
The police commended the help of our community and Crime Stoppers of Puget Sound in locating this dangerous suspect. Case # 25-1569
