A single employee of the Zen Healing Massage of Burien was robbed at gunpoint by a “yet -to-be-identified male” just after 6:00 p.m. Friday night, December 13, at their 636 SW 152nd Street location.

According to the King County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect threatened the employee with a handgun and demanded money and other valuables from the shop and from the employee. Luckily, the suspect left the store without causing any physical harm to the victim.
Burien Police Department (Burien PD) and other KCSO deputies responded and called in additional resources to assist in the investigation.
We spoke with several nearby business owners who are quite alarmed by Friday night’s heavy police presence, armed robbery allegations, and subsequent “perimeter search.” Police canvassed business locations on the block, including Grand Central Bakery and Smarty Pants Garage.
The police informed one business owner that they were searching for a black male. We reached out to Zen Massage for comment, but the store was closed and the phone went unanswered.
The case/investigation is active, so no further information was provided by the KCSO.
Burien.News will report further information as we learn more.
